Barrack Obama Leaves White HouseCredit EXPRESS 21 January 2017
Barrack Obama and his family left the White House by helictopter shortly after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the US on January 20.
They are set to move to a luxury mansion just a few miles away from the White House in Washington, DC.
The former President and First Lady have announced the creation of the Obama Foundation, their presidential centre based in the south side of Chicago.
In a video, Mr Obama said: “After eight years in the White House, Michelle and I now re-join all of you as private citizens.
“Our centre will have projects all over the city [of Chicago], the country and the world.
“More than a library or a museum it will be a living working centre for citizenship.”
The Obamas have asked Americans for “ideas, hopes and beliefs for what we can achieve together”.
