LIFE FOR RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONS MOSQUE AT CALABA TOWN

Life for relief and development an international non governmental organisation commissions a mosque for the calaba town community over the weekend. The ceremony attracted hundreds of Muslim in and out of the calaba town community.

Addressing the huge crowd Dr. Ibrahim Salieu kamara cited several verses in the holy Qur’an that lays emphasis of the importance of building a mosque. He urge the audience that a mosque is not meant only for prayers as presently seen in most part of the country but the purpose of a mosque goes beyond that as it facilitates and promote worship of Allah and therefore foster personal bond of love and devotion between man and God.

Dr. Ibrahim Salieu Kamara emphasised that a mosque is essentially a first step towards fostering unity and brotherhood amongst people and consequently, a powerful force in our endeavours to unite mankind. He reiterated that a mosque provides an effective tool for inviting people to Allah and is conducive to the propagation and progress of Islam.

In his remarks the coordinator for Life for Relief and Development Mr. Youness Ktiri said that the mosque is just part of the package his organisation is providing for the people of this country and they do not only concentrate on building mosque but they also help in contributing to the educational sector, agricultural sector and also taking care of orphans in the entire country.

Mr. Youness Ktiri called on the people of the community to take care of the mosque as the mosque is a house of Allah and does not belong to particular person. He prayed that the audience will pray for the donor Asad Kavi and the workers of Life and promised that they hope to implement more projects in the country.

Sheikh Farouk Adam Bah in his remarks before delivering the sermon express his delight to be part of the program and pray for all who in diverse ways have contributed to erect the mosque. He emphasised that the mosque belongs to Allah and no one should trade in the mosque but it should serve as a learning institution and prayers.

Sheikh Issa Ghalie Sesay who chaired the occasion called for special prayers for the donor Asad Kavi and the implementer Mr. Youness Ktiri who travelled from America to witness this occasion and pray that this will not be the end to help the people of this country.
